Abstract :
This paper describes the result of studies on quality control in a scanning test rig for air filters. Measurements were carried out including the accuracy of flowrate sampling, the performance of dilutor, the stability of aerosol generator, the uniformity of aerosol in the cross sections, the background concentration at the downstream of filters, the characteristics of motion components, the response time of sampling, and the ability to detect leakage on filters. Results were compared with the requirement described by EN 1822. It was shown that the scanning test rig is suitable for pressure drop, efficiency and leakage test of HPEA filters.
