Abstract :
A novel fiber-optic system utilizing subcarrier transmission and reception of microwave signals is demonstrated. Error free transmission of a 50 Mbit/s amplitude shift keyed signal over 9 and 16 GHz microwave subcarriers is demonstrated for received optical powers /spl ges/-30.5 and -28.5 dBm, respectively.<>
