Abstract :
A novel parabolic curved reflector antenna is proposed in this paper. When it is used for spatial power combining, it can improve the performance. Considering that increase the horn unit number will increase the design cost, on the condition that the number of feeding horn array keeps unchanged while the height of the reflector antenna is doubled, the proposed method can get a higher gain and a better beam characteristics comparing with the conventional method which uses parabolic cylindrical antenna. Simulation results illustrate the parabolic curved reflector antenna can improve the performance of the spatial power combining antenna system.
