Title :
RAI’s role within IEEE 1641 and ATML
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The metamorphosis of RAI from a software resource interface to a set of TPS guidelines has been tortuous and long; and even today cannot be claimed to be fully complete. This transition has reflected the shift in emphasis of test standards from API driven to information driven, with the aim to allow multiple implementations, and test executives, all using the same test information. For RAI this has lead to todaypsilas RAI augmenting both IEEE 1641-2004 Signal & Test Definition (STD) and IEEE 1671-2006 Automatic Test Language Markup Language (ATML) standards by defining what information shall be present when using these formats in capturing test requirements for a test program to test a unit under test (UUT) in a platform independent manner.
