Abstract :
Through the method of experiment analysis to a 400W direct drive permanent magnet wind turbine prototype in this paper, as to the permanent magnet wind generator output voltage stability, taking the changing rate of voltage(voltage regulation) as stability parameters, we sample different speeds, different loads and different tip-speed ratios of the output voltage by two kinds of operating mode .One is the three-phase asynchronous motor which is automatic controlled by VWF alternating frequency inverter to drive the generator directly, and the other is wind wheels direct drive permanent magnet generators operating mode. Based on the data from experiment, we fit the different tip speed ratio and outputting voltage, and tip speed ratio and voltage regulation curves. Through the analysis of the curves, we describe a varying regular pattern of voltage regulation and tip speed ratio for the permanent magnet wind generator, and put up the qualifications of the optimal voltage regulation. It not only provides an effective way to gain low voltage regulation of permanent magnet wind generator, but also offers a basis for measuring the matching of wind wheels and the generator.
