Abstract
On the basis of the microwave high power measurement techniques, the familiar error mechanisms in microwave high power measurement system and the corresponding techniques to suppress the errors are fully discussed firstly. The emphasis is placed on the errors from impedance mismatch, high power attenuator, calibration factor followed by a discussion on the methods to eliminate these errors. Then the practical methods to calculate or find each of the individual uncertainty are studied deeply. At last, the principles for calculating overall measurement uncertainty are analyzed in mathematics. A calculating example is provided to illustrate the total uncertainty evaluation process and the results can indicate the performance of the test system.
