  • Abstract
    With the establishment of the mechanical model of the gantry sign, we analyzed the major factor of the gantry sign design by investigating the strength, stiffness and stability of the beams, columns and the danger points respectively. We also give an explicit example, which shows that just considering the design of the structure strength, rigidity and stability is not enough, and it´s necessary to check the roots of the beams and columns and other dangerous points.
