Abstract :
To understand the seismic performance of autoclaved aerated concrete block masonry wall, 8 autoclaved aerated concrete block masonry walls were tested under low cycle reversed lateral load. Based on the experiment, cracking and failure modes are observed and load displacement hysteretic curves are measured. Besides, kinds of seismic indicators such as feature value of load and displacement, ductility factor, Energy dissipation and Stiffness degradation rules are obtained. Test and analysis results show that most of cracks shaped Xpropagate through the block whose failure mode is shear. Aspect ratio and axial compression also result in some influences to ratio Stiffness and fracture morphology. It can be deduced that as reducing the aspect ratio, increasing the axial compression ratio and enhancing the block strength, seismic strength and shear strength of wall are enhanced. The seismic performance is not lower than ordinary sinter brick masonry wall from the experiment.
