Abstract :
Based on the multi-open-stub structure, a new phase shifter with lower loss is developed. What´s more, the equivalent circuit of this phase shifter is proposed and its validity can be proved by the accordance of the theoretical and simulated results. In the present butterfly structure, as interval between different branch is λ/4, the reflection of each branch can be offset, thus the return loss can be dwindled. And this phase shifter can be easily fabricated by utilizing the difference between stubs on each side. Furthermore, this structure also has smaller size and higher power capacity. Finally, two 5-bit phase shifters that work separately at C band and X band are designed as examples.
