Abstract :
A novel slow-wave microstrip bandpass filter with loading hairpin-shaped split ring resonators is presented. The miniaturized hairpin resonator with a pair of coupled lines folded reduces the size of this circuit while preserving the performance of the filter. The resonator condition plays an important role in determining the size of resonator. Meanwhile, the bandstop effect occurred in the filter owing to slow-wave periodic structure. Therefore, the structure of filter with six resonators has good suppression for the harmonic wave. The filter is designed by Ansoft HFSS. And the experimental results demonstrate the advantages of this filter.
