Abstract
This paper presents a new PWM current control method of a shunt current source active power filter which makes it possible to eliminate the harmonics produced by a three-phase rectifier. The proposed control strategy, which is based on the frequency domain approach, is appropriate for a six-switch current source inverter rather than the fifteen switches topology that has been proposed in the literature. The algorithm used to generate the PWM pattern functions of the current source active power filter is presented. To show the effectiveness of the proposed PWM current control method, computer simulations using Matlab/Simulink/Power System Blockset are presented
