Abstract :
In this paper, Through quasi-static test on four concrete-filled rectangular steel tubular (CFRST) beam and column joint model, the mechanical and seismic behavior such as hysteretic curve, ductility, degradation of strength and stiffness, energy dissipation capacity and failure characteristics etc, are researched. The results indicate that the CFRST beam and column joints subjected to low cycle reversal load have plump hysteretic loops, slow strength and stiffness degeneration. There is good ductility and later deformation ability after the joints reach the ultimate load and the joints can meet the requirement of ductile joint and seismic design. Meanwhile, it compares with the mechanical behavior of steel beam joint in the respect of the strength and stiffness degeneration and later deformation ability .And it takes that the CFRST beam and column joints are superior to the steel beam joint.
