Abstract :
In China, with the rapid urbanization and industrialization, and highly accelerated economic development have resulted in degradation of water resource. The water quality deterioration general result from eutrophication in most cases, so how to treat this kind of pollution water higher efficiently is an urgent task. Constructed wetland is an effective treatment system that can be very useful because it is simple technology and low operational cost. A filed-scale constructed wetland was constructed at Jiuxi Town, Yuxi, China, and operated as primary treatment measure before eutrophic-lake water draining to riverine landscape. Water quality indices were determined from Jul to Sep in 2009, and the treatment operated regular in the flood period, the results indicated that removal efficiencies were high for Ammoniacal Nitroge and Chlorophyll-a, but the removal efficiencies of Total Nitrate and Total Phosphorous were poor performance.
