Abstract :
In the paper a model for reliability and safety of the software is suggested. The density function of the distribution of the failures and the function of failure rate lambda (t) are derived from the structure of the software modules, the distribution of the input vectors and the verification tests, carried out for the software module. On line criterion for safety is introduced and example is given concerning the safety of the software for data acquisition and control. The definition and the methods for achievement of the necessary level of software security are described.
