Abstract :
The interconnection of existing power grids can increase the stability of the production-consumption balance. However, this may result in short-circuit fault current level becoming unacceptable due to the very low impedance of the integrated grid. Superconducting Fault Current Limiters (SFCL) are able to address the challenges in dealing with high fault current level.
