Abstract :
Military avionics developers have increasing impetus to provide more capability at lower cost. Coupled with these user needs are an increasing focus on the application of commercial off-the-shelf products and technology. The scope of sensor system design is focusing from highly autonomous to networked operation. Thus, military avionics are evolving to a form more synergistic with commercial telesystems practice. These changes in scope are changing or removing previous system boundaries and impacting business relationships between contractors
