Abstract :
This paper performs the energy-saving for multicast IP over WDM network, presents the multicast grooming policies and devises a new auxiliary graph to support the green grooming. Based on the proposed auxiliary graph, a novel Multicast Green Grooming (MGG) algorithm by using energy-efficient optical bypass and grooming policy combination is proposed. Simulation results show that MGG can achieve lower blocking probability and save more energy compared to traditional algorithm.
