Abstract :
The wavelet transform has recently emerged as a powerful tool for nonstationary signal analysis. Normally, the orthogonal discrete wavelet transform is implemented in critically sampled quadrature mirror filter banks. It is demonstrated how the discrete wavelet transform can be implemented in a two DSP 56001 system. The authors use a dual DSP system and develop an algorithm code for the real time implementation of the wavelet transform. This method can also be extended to the two-dimensional wavelet transform
