Development situation of greenway planning

This paper concluded the development of greenway, examines the various conceptual and functional definitions of greenways. According to the definition of greenways, there are four major functions, such as recreation, cultural and historical heritage values, ecological significance, and ecological protection. The design of greenways should deal with such issues as the location of greenways, the width of the corridor and so on. Finally, the tendencies and challenge of greenway planning of China are delineated.
