Abstract :
In this paper, is presented the general approach of both thickness gauging and stress magnitude testing over a long distance of the pipeline by ultrasonic guided waves with increased precision and reliable results. We increase the precision by dint of involving wavelet signal processing technique. Advantages of the wavelet transform lies in a time - frequency representation of the signal and similarity of wavelet basis function to an oscillating burst of investigated signals.
