Abstract :
This paper reviews the results of performance investigations of several types of tap connectors under thermal cycling conditions, and under harsh-environmental conditions. The superior performance of fired wedge-connectors is pointed out. The paper relates the performance attributes of fired wedge-connectors to key design characteristics that allow the generation of stable electrical contact interfaces
