Abstract :
The mobile communication market is the current driving force of the telecommunication industry. A new quality of flexible, wireless and integrable services is required having impact on telecommunication networks, computers, automotive management systems, air traffic control etc. An actual overview of mobile and related systems will be given in the beginning followed by the description of enhanced components concepts including Si and especially GaAs RF technology. Special emphasis is directed to European industry requirements and European components supplier capabilities
