Abstract :
This paper presents an efficient implementation of frequency offset correction for the IEEE 802.1 1a wireless LAN systems. A hybrid architecture is proposed for implementing angle rotation using the radix-4 CORDIC algorithm. Targeted for 5 GHz WLAN applications and tailored to be implemented using a specific process technology, which is 0.18 μm in our case, the proposed architecture can achieve a good compromise between hardware area and processing latency.
