Abstract :
The axial impact experiments for the concrete filled steel tubular short columns were carried out under the same quality and different height for dropping hammer. The dynamic responses for the concrete filled steel tube, including the axial residual deformation, strain time histories and impact force-time histories, were measured. Also the influencing factors on the deformation of the concrete filled steel tube with the different steel coefficients were researched. The research results show that the concrete filled steel tube possesses the strong anti-impact property, and it would be applied in components for the structural engineering.
