Abstract :
Nowadays violent competitive environment, many enterprises are facing the pressure that the product life cycle is increasingly shorter. Enterprises must develop new products constantly and put them to market quickly to meet changing market needs, so enterprises can remain competitive and share market in the same industry. This article describes traditional product development model and organizational structure, and analyzes its drawbacks; product design chain is a collaborative design network, which consists of manufacturers, suppliers and customers. Enterprises must conduct changes for organizational structure, if they want to integrate the resources of the members of the design chain effectively, and give full play to the innovative advantages of design chain. This article also described the feasibility and necessity of product development organizational innovation in the design chain management mode by the transaction cost theory perspective, and proposed design chain should have characteristics of organizational structure.
