  • Abstract
This paper presents rate matched adaptive bandwidth allocation algorithms to transmit packets from bursty traffic sources over the WCDMA air interface using the DCH channel. The algorithms developed allocate variable transmission bandwidth to bursty traffic sources to match its transmission requirements thus maximising multiplexing efficiencies and minimising end-to-end delay. Performances of the algorithms are examined using an OPNET simulation model.
