The analysis of ecological footprint of Tianjin

This paper applied the basic theory and the method of the ecological footprint, based on the date of Tianjin statistical bureau, 2001-2006, calculated the ecological footprint, the ecological carrying capacity and the ecological deficit of Tianjin from 2001 to 2006. The results indicated that: with the ecological footprint continually increasing, the ecological was also rapidly increased, from 2001 it had risen from 1.575 hm²/cap to 2.002 hm²/cap in 2006, this demonstrated that the ecological deficit of Tianjin was serious, Tianjin was far from sustainable development.
