This paper researched the adsorption properties of modified Manganese sand to the high content of Manganese in groundwater, the adsorption effect of modified Manganese sand were studied by the single factor such as adsorbent dosage, time, temperature and pH, through orthogonal experiment, the best absorption condition was determined. The results show that: the absorbed ratio of the modified Manganese sand was 99.10%, the adsorption capacity was 247.8 ug/g for groundwater with the high content of manganese 2 mg/L, the temperature is 40 ,the modified Manganese sand 8 grams, time 4 hours, and pH of 10. The adsorption has Langmuir characteristics for the modified Manganese sand adsorption of Mn2+. The adsorption mechanism was mainly monomolecular layer chemical adsorption; the temperature has little effect on adsorption capacity.
