Abstract
A novel dual-polarized stacked microstrip antenna that operates well within the ISM-band (2.402-2.4835 GHz) for Bluetooth applications is simulated and experimentally presented. The square patch of the microstrip antenna is fed diagonally by a microstrip line. Another square patch with a superstrate is stacked above the corner-fed patch to increase the operating bandwidth. The impedance and the radiation characteristics of the optimised antenna configuration are presented, having varied the sizes of the top and bottom patches and the spacing between the patches.
