Abstract
This paper introduces recent advances in digitally controlled DC/DC switching converters. Three main blocks appear in almost every digital controller: the eADC, the digital compensator, and the DPWM. The implementation and different structures of these blocks are explained. Compensator design and some nonlinear control techniques that improve the performance of the switching converters are discussed. Experimental and simulation results are provided to validate the design techniques.
