Abstract :
Soft sinking mattress is one of the most used and efficient components in protective for scour prevention. During sinking, breaking of ship cable, tear of mattress cloth, deformation and cracking of clasping beam are all possible because the forces of the load on the mattress body are not recognized. A mathematical model of soft sinking mattress is presented, which can be used to determine the applicable range of sinking mattress, mattress´s design parameters and sinking mattress technology.
