Abstract :
In this paper, we will show that improved spatial smoothing (ISS), combining with the conventional MUSIC does not work unless the signal to noise ratio (SNR) is high. To solve the problem when SNR is low, we propose in this paper, to either search for signal or noise subspace in a different way from the conventional MUSIC, or eliminate the noise by exploiting cyclostationarity of the signals.
