  • Abstract
The personal property such as computers and vehicles are facing serious security matters because robbery cases are increasing in a quick rate. Many existing protection systems provide solutions to the issues of security and the anti-robberies. However, they require special equipments such as a high resolution camera. This study proposes a personal property monitoring system (PPMS) that aims to protect personal possessions. Our system is able to determine, categorize and track any object using simple webcam. Furthermore, PPMS use Multi-levels detection algorithm with three level of protection (low, Middle, and high). The implementation is carried out using Java programming language and the result of usability testing shows that 90% of the participants found the system usable.
