Abstract :
This paper describes a minimum-loss controller for constant excitation synchronous machines with pole-saliency effect such as interior permanent magnet, reluctance and standard pole-salient synchronous machines with independent excitation kept constant. The proposed algorithm provides fast response, easy implementation and has the possibility of adapting varying parameters. Good performance is maintained for all machines considered
