Abstract :
In a generator-set with inverter output, the proper matching between the output impedance of the synchronous generator-fed DC-link and the input impedance of the inverter is crucial for the system´s stability. This paper shows how such matching can be achieved by using a multiple-pole, multiple-zero compensator for the DC-link voltage control-loop. Compensator design requires detailed knowledge of the system´s dynamic behavior in terms of control-to-output transfer function, obtained with the generator/rectifier linearized average model. The transient behavior of the closed-loop system and the validity of modeling and control design approach are verified through experimental measurements
