Abstract :
Large-scale traffic congestion in the urban road network is often caused by the obstruction of individual crossroads, individual sections and diffuses. By means of the signal control we can relieve the congestion in bottlenecks road and it has very important significance. This paper introduces a traffic signal control method to relieve congestion problem in bottleneck sections. Specific description is that toroidal detector is buried in the road section, through the rolling time share to judge the congestion in the section, and then changing the signal timing formula in the crossroads of downstream and upstream sections to alleviate traffic congestion in road section. Finally, this method is verified in real earnest, through scene observation and data analysis, this method can achieve the desired control effect.
