Abstract :
This paper addresses incorporating human factors and usability in the system development life cycle from a marketing and management perspective, exploring ways of getting human factors engineering (HFE) and usability activities included in the development life cycle. It pays special attention to user-centered design, prototyping for usability and cost-benefit studies. In order to accomplish this, the question of why one should use HCI (human-computer interaction) specialists needs to be discussed, along with marketing and managing techniques
