Abstract :
Concerns the development of a traffic surveillance and control system (TCSS) for the Tsing Yi interchange, which is at the end of the new Tsing Ma bridge which leads to the airport. Hazards include not only traffic incidents but also severe winds including typhoons. The complete TCSS comprises two types of subsystems, surveillance systems to identify the real-time traffic situation and control systems to implement appropriate traffic control measures when and where necessary.
