  • Abstract
The content market becomes all more important to users, businesses and other stakeholders of the digital services business. The era where web was useful only to retrieve information belongs long in the past. Content dominates the electronic commerce businesses and proves to be highly lucrative to those firms involved in its distribution. Network providers face tremendous pressure from content and service providers, that leverage on the distribution of content and threatens the financial sustainability of network providers. Faced with these fundamental challenges that hinder their evolution, network providers consider the services ecosystem approach as an alternate business model to secure their future. The services ecosystem concept provides substantial benefits to all parties involved and can create significant business opportunities for network providers in particular. Within the ecosystem concept we present an innovative approach introduced by ALICANTE.
