Abstract :
The drift velocity and mobility of electrons in nitrogen(N2 )/argon(Ar) liquid mixtures were measured in a wide range of the nitrogen mole fraction k (=NN2/(NN2+NAr)) and liquid temperature T. The experimental result showed that the effective radius of the complexes estimated using the Stoke´s low was almost independent of the k and T. A simple self-consistent field model for self-trapped electrons inside density fluctuation in the liquid was proposed, and the low mobility electrons were analyzed using the model. It was shown that, owing to the strong repulsive exchange interaction between an electron and N2 particles, the electron was localized inside a bubble for k>0.05. This tendency agreed qualitatively with experimental results
