Abstract :
This paper will define LXI and SOP and describe a test & measurement application using this new industry standard and programming method. Test engineers will think differently using LXI hardware and SOP based software. Measure Foundry software (patent pending) from Data Translation is an example of software built on SOP architecture that supports LXI devices. This combination will be used to demonstrate putting a test system together. One test example will control a programmable power supply and DMM, sequence through various output voltages and display the output using a DMM device simulating an automated test stand.
