Abstract :
This paper presents on designing and developing an infrared (IR) transmitter IC with low power design. Power consumption differs depending on characteristic and functionality of the design. It can be reduced by focusing on the module in the transmitter that use the most power and design an improved topology/architecture for the module by exploiting the complementary properties of CMOS devices together with lowering the supply voltage. The review will investigate the possibility for reducing the complexity of the circuit design. The best topology/architecture of IR transmitter is identified where it can be used for low power design.
