Abstract :
A programmable electroejaculator for semen collection in mice is presented. It is a sinusoidal burst stimulator, commanded by a microcontroller device and B bipolar electrode placed on a machinated acrylic material and completed with silver, copper and tin rings, Stimulation patterns for electricat stimuli from I to 8 volts in a special sequence were applied in the rectum of the animal by using B small electrode. NhlRl male mice were employed. Spermatozoa quality and quantity differences were evaluated when animals were submitted with and without anesthesia.. The heaIth of the animals was always evaluated.
