Abstract :
In order to consider the behavior of a bound water cluster and its effects on conductivity in aged transformer oils, the authors choose two series of hydrocarbon materials including carboxyl groups. One series has a carboxyl base at the center of a saturated hydrocarbon chain, the other has a carboxyl group on one side of the chain. The paper also investigates the IR spectrum of water clusters in dielectric materials
