Abstract
In this paper we describe an experimental method to obtain the acoustical parameters in phantoms using ultrasonic waves. The measurement technique is based on traditional pulse - echo method, with a single trausducer placed at a distance of p1 acrylic container. The transit times of an ultrasonic pulse are measured at a high sampling rate by a digital oscilloscope. The distances between the transducer and the container was obtained at environment´s temperature and pressure. This metbod is able to monitor some acoustical parameters in a phantom.
