Abstract
Summary form only received. The tools available for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease are vastly different from what they were just ten to fifteen years ago. The authors focus on the biomedical engineering improvements that ophthalmologists have already witnessed as well as those that are not yet in clinical practice. The practice of ophthalmology is approached from the anatomical perspective, progressing from the anterior to posterior segment of the eye, highlighting the associated emerging technologies along the way
