Abstract
The paper proposes a revisited look at Park transformation in the light of differential algebra. This framework allows to check the number of independenl control variables of a model. Some geometric considerations lead to a natural definition of the Park transformation. The paper is illustrated with the synchronous permanent magnet motor.
