Abstract
As one of the strategic new industries, advanced equipment manufacturing industry is the key point of modern industrial system. The level of input-output efficiency is related closely to resource allocation of equipment manufacturing industry and modern industry transformation and upgrading. This article uses DEA method to make positive measure of technical and scale validity of input-output efficiency in advanced equipment manufacturing in Hebei Province, China, in 2007 and 2009. 37 subclasses are classified into different types which refer to the characteristics of input-output efficiency in different types of industry. The result shows that the technical validity of input-output efficiency of various industries is related to scale validity. Subclasses in different industries should take effective measure to improve input-output efficiency based on their own situations.
