Abstract :
The author attempts to detect the corona pulse that occurs inside the power shunt-reactor and power cable at an early stage of insulation degeneration with an outside loop antenna. The principle of the method is described and the technique is applied to the case of corona pulse measurement caused by a partial discharge inside a shunt-reactor. Frequency spectra of the detected pulses are presented. A second example involves measurement of corona pulse from 77 kV OF cable
