Abstract :
Uneven settlement induced by the construction of shield tunnel crossing under airport pavement will influence the structure behavior of pavement inevitably. Excessive differential settlement will even lead to cracks on the pavement and gaps between foundation and pavement. Beside, it is difficult for large diameter shield to control face support pressure and likely to cause local collapse which is lethal to tunnel constuction and overlying pavement. Combined with the engineering practice of Xianxia west road tunnel, this paper analyzes the range of gaps and cracks under different ground volumn loss by numerical simulation, which lays a theoretical basis for defining allowable deformation of airport pavement during shield crossing.
